About the Role

A global commodity trading firm in London is hiring a DevOps Engineer (contract) to support a Snowflake-based data platform. You'll work with data engineers and cloud architects to deliver scalable, secure cloud infrastructure for real-time trading and analytics.

Key Responsibilities

• Build & manage CI/CD pipelines for Snowflake data workflows
• Automate AWS infrastructure with Terraform
• Deploy containers via Docker & Kubernetes (EKS)
• Ensure observability, performance & security
• Integrate tooling like dbt, Airflow, and support platform evolution

Requirements

• 3+ years in DevOps/cloud/SRE roles
• Expert in AWS (EC2, IAM, Lambda, etc.)
• Strong in Terraform, Docker, Kubernetes (EKS)
• Production experience with Snowflake
• Scripting in Python, Bash, or similar
• Strong team collaboration & Agile mindset

Nice to Have

• Background in commodity trading, finance, or energy
• Experience with data governance, dbt, or Airflow
