Backend Developer - C# .Net
- Contract Length: Initial 6 months (with potential for extension)

- Rate: Up to 700 per day, Outside IR35
Our client, a leading Oil and Gas firm with a global presence, is seeking a skilled C#.NET Developer to join their dynamic team. The role will focus on enhancing and maintaining their bespoke LNG trading and risk management systems (ETRM). This is an opportunity to work on critical projects within an agile environment, collaborating with highly specialized teams across different regions.
Role Overview:
The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Development Leads, and Business Analysts to support the customization and development of their systems. This includes enhancing .NET-based applications and integrations, with a focus on EOS and physical commodities.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and optimize applications using the .NET Framework, including WinForms and WCF services.
- Collaborate with the Business Analysts and regional specialists to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions.
- Design and implement database solutions using SQL Server to support application functionality.
- Follow coding standards, implement unit testing, and ensure quality delivery.
- Utilize Azure DevOps for pipeline deployments and version control.
- Engage with external vendors and manage codebases inherited through acquisitions or partnerships.
- Ensure alignment with the agile sprint plans and deliverables.
- Provide support for system enhancements related to physical commodity trading, specifically within the LNG domain.
Technical Skills:
- Proven experience in C#.NET development, specifically within the .NET Framework (experience in .NET Core is advantageous).
- Strong understanding of database design and development, particularly with SQL Server.
- Proficiency in WinForms and WCF for application development.
- Familiarity with Azure DevOps and CI/CD pipeline deployments.
- Experience with coding standards and unit testing methodologies.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience working on large-scale global projects within the Oil and Gas sector.
- Knowledge of Planlogic or similar ETRM platforms.
- Familiarity with other physical commodity frameworks or systems.
