Intelligent Automation Engineer - TWE45182 - London, Glasgow or Liverpool

twentyAI are partnering with a forward-thinking Wealth Manager seeking an Intelligent Automation Engineer to play a key role in advancing their AI and automation journey.

The organisation is at an exciting stage—having established the foundations of its automation capability, it is now scaling delivery and embedding AI-driven solutions across the business. With a strong pipeline of initiatives and growing investment in this space, this role offers the chance to make a meaningful and visible impact.

The Role

You will design, build, and run AI-powered automations that improve efficiency, quality, and colleague experience across the organisation. Working closely with the Automation Product Owner, you’ll help shape the roadmap, influence technical direction, and deliver solutions end-to-end.

This is a hands-on engineering role with strategic influence. You’ll be expected to bring experience, guide decision-making, and help define what “good” looks like across AI, agentic workflows, and intelligent automation.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Engineering AI agents and copilots using Microsoft technologies such as Copilot Studio, Azure OpenAI, and Power Platform
  • Designing generative AI workflows (including RAG-based solutions) grounded in enterprise data
  • Delivering Power Automate flows, Power Apps, and reusable components
  • Integrating with APIs, M365, CRM systems, and internal platforms
  • Applying the right solution approach—AI, workflow automation, or RPA (e.g. Blue Prism)—based on business need
  • Partnering with stakeholders across operations and front-office teams to improve business processes

Requirements

  • Proven experience delivering AI agents, copilots, or intelligent automation solutions in production
  • Strong hands-on engineering capability, with the ability to build and deliver solutions end-to-end
  • Experience with Microsoft technologies, including Copilot Studio, Power Platform, and Azure OpenAI
  • Experience with RPA tools such as Blue Prism (or similar)
  • Ability to translate ambiguous business requirements into practical, working solutions
  • Strong problem-solving skills and comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment
  • Confident communicator who can influence stakeholders and provide technical guidance

Why Join

This is an opportunity to join a growing automation function at a pivotal moment—moving from early-stage capability into scaled delivery.

You’ll have the chance to:

  • Work on a high-impact pipeline of initiatives with real business value
  • Combine hands-on engineering with strategic influence
  • Engage with a broad range of stakeholders across the business
  • Be part of a forward-thinking environment investing heavily in AI and innovation

If you’re looking for a role where you can build, influence, and drive meaningful change through AI, this is an opportunity worth exploring.
