Interim Data Platform Lead – AI & Unstructured Data
London / Hybrid | 6–12 months
A major consulting organisation is about to reset its data and AI foundations and is looking for an Interim Head of Data Transformation to drive it.
This role sits at the centre of the organisation's digital agenda and will work closely with senior data leadership to design and deliver a modern enterprise data platform that underpins all core practitioner products.
What you'll be doing
- Designing and delivering an enterprise data platform (Databricks and/or Fabric)
- Ingesting and operationalising large volumes of unstructured client data
- Applying AI and document intelligence to automate reporting outputs
- Enabling large-scale LLM usage with strong governance controls
- Working closely with senior data leadership through a transformation phase
- Managing vendors, partners, and delivery teams
What we're looking for
- Hands-on experience with Fabric and/or Databricks
- Recent, real-world delivery of AI and unstructured data platforms
- Strong data architecture and transformation background
- Comfortable operating in complex, regulated environments
- Senior, pragmatic, delivery-first mindset
