Interim Solution Architect – Systems Transformation

Location: Hybrid (London-based programme team) with monthly travel to Europe

Contract: 6+ months (initial) | Approx. £800 - £900/day Inside Umbrella

Are you a strategic Solution Architect with strong expertise in finance systems? Ready to lead the design of a scalable, robust architecture that underpins critical finance transformation within a prestigious Investment business?

Our client is embarking on a finance technology evolution. They currently operate on Unit4 and Investran platforms and need a hands-on Solution Architect to build a flexible, future-proof architecture that supports operational excellence, governance, and data-driven decision making.

What You'll Be Doing

• Own the end-to-end solution architecture for finance systems, ensuring seamless integration and optimisation of Unit4 and Investran platforms.
• Partner closely with the CEO, COO, CFO, and domain leads to align technology solutions with evolving business priorities and control requirements.
• Lead the design of scalable data models and integration frameworks to enable transparency, traceability, and performance measurement.
• Establish governance, architectural standards, and documentation to support compliance and audit readiness.
• Identify and manage risks, dependencies, and ensure smooth change management in a fast-moving, outsourced delivery environment.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Data Engineering and Product Owners to ensure architectural alignment and delivery excellence.

What You Bring

• Proven experience architecting complex finance or investment management systems.
• A keen understanding and motivation for cutting-edge technology
• Strong knowledge of Unit4, Investran, or comparable finance platforms, including integration and data architecture.
• Expertise in designing scalable data models and solutions that support financial control and compliance frameworks.
• Exceptional stakeholder management skills, comfortable engaging with senior executives and technical teams alike.
• Willingness and ability to travel monthly to Europe.
• Flexibility to operate in a hybrid working model based in London.
