Role

As a Platform Engineer, you will build and maintain the core infrastructure that powers a document-processing platform:

• Design and enhance scalable, reliable backend systems to process large volumes of sensitive data.
• Create tools and services that empower product teams to deliver new features quickly and consistently.
• Develop platform capabilities such as workflow orchestration, service infrastructure, and system reliability improvements.
• Investigate and resolve production issues to ensure dependable performance for customers.
• Ensure strong security and governance standards are built into the platform.
• Participate in architectural discussions on evolving backend systems as the company grows.

Key Skills

• Experience building and maintaining backend systems, ideally within high-growth or startup environments
• Strong computer science fundamentals
• Proficiency writing maintainable, well-tested Python code in production
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (such as GCP), databases, deployment pipelines, and operational infrastructure
• Interest in system reliability, tooling, and automation to enhance developer productivity
• Proactive approach to problem-solving and delivering practical solutions
• Preference for working on core infrastructure rather than front-end features
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills
