WHO WE ARE The System Safety Engineer working in the Specialty Engineering group will contribute to a wide variety of projects based on our business needs. The engineer will work as an independent … contributor with team leadership to perform System Safety Engineering tasks in support of project objectives. THE WORK On a day to day basis: • The engineer will work on tasking which will include requirements analysis, interface analysis, and operations analysis, as well as system safety test and verification. • Analyze hardware and software. • Establish and maintain system safety requirements in support of mission results. • Work directly with customers and project leadership to report out on safety analyses. • Analyze and recommend safety criteria in system design, equipment and procedures to control or eliminate hazards. • Perform audits of operational areas and report effectiveness of system safety programs. • Be responsible for preparing reports, reviewing subcontractor safety More ❯
