Location: Basingstoke (Strictly office-based) Hours: Part-time / Fractional – 2 days per week

Salary: £70,000 (pro rata) + benefits

The Role

This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation in the technology and services sector as a Commercial Manager on a part-time / fractional basis.

Reporting to the Group Finance Director, this senior role will suit a commercially minded professional with a legal or contracts background, who can interpret contractual detail, understand legislation, and apply it pragmatically to real-world business and client scenarios.

Key Responsibilities

• Review, interpret, and advise on commercial contracts, Ts & Cs, and legal documentation
• Apply contract and legislative requirements in a practical, business-focused way
• Support contract negotiation and risk management with internal stakeholders
• Provide guidance on governance, compliance, and corporate obligations
• Maintain statutory records and support company secretarial responsibilities
• Oversee company insurance renewals and related annual reviews
• Contribute to broader commercial and governance matters as required

About You

• Experience in a commercial, legal, contracts, or governance-focused role
• Strong understanding of contracts, legislation, and commercial risk
• Pragmatic, level-headed, and able to balance legal detail with business reality
• Confident working with senior stakeholders and directors
• Background in legal, financial services, insurance, or regulated environments beneficial
• Company secretarial experience desirable, but not essential

No formal qualifications required — experience and judgement matter most.
