IT Support Engineer
IT Support Engineer Location: London (onsite five days a week)Salary: £28,000-£40,000 About the Role We are looking for a talented and motivated IT Support Engineer who is passionate about technology and enjoys helping people solve problems. You will be the go to person for a variety of clients, delivering both remote and on-site support while ensuring every interaction leaves a positive impression.As the IT Support Engineer, one day you could be resolving a complex networking issue and the next you might be setting up a new cloud environment or assisting with infrastructure improvements that keep businesses running smoothly. You will work as part of a close and supportive team that values collaboration, technical excellence and genuine customer care.Technical Requirements for the IT Support Engineer: The ideal IT Support Engineer will have hands-on experience and confidence working with the following technologies and concepts:
- Office 365 administration and support
- Veeam for backup and disaster recovery
- Strong understanding of network troubleshooting including connectivity, Pings, firewalls, DNS, DHCP and TCP IP
- VMware virtualisation technologies
- Experience supporting both Windows and macOS environments
- Take full ownership of technical issues from start to finish, ensuring clients feel supported throughout the process.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical challenges across a wide range of systems, platforms and networks.
- Carry out occasional on-site visits to client locations across London to provide hands on support when required.
- Communicate clearly with clients, providing regular updates and setting realistic expectations.
- Manage your workload effectively, balancing multiple priorities while maintaining high standards.
- Record all time, notes and updates accurately to maintain transparency and clear reporting.
- Look for ways to improve services, processes and solutions while adding value for clients wherever possible.
- A strong background in IT support and service delivery, ideally within a managed service provider or similar environment.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to explain technical concepts clearly to all audiences.
- A proactive and solution-focused mindset with a genuine desire to help clients.
- Solid technical understanding across infrastructure, networking, cloud services and cybersecurity.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks without compromising quality.
