IT Support Engineer
Job Title: Senior IT Engineer Location: Hybrid – North West London (NW10) and Working from Home Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Working Hours: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday Salary: £42,000 to £45,000 plus benefits The Opportunity: A fast-growing and sustainability-focused IT services provider is looking for a Senior IT Engineer to join their team. This company supports startups and scaleups by delivering high-quality IT solutions with an emphasis on circular practices and strong cyber infrastructure.The Role: As a Senior IT Engineer, you will act as the technical escalation point for 2nd and 3rd line issues. You will take ownership of more complex support tasks, work independently, and ensure timely, high-quality resolutions under SLAs.This is a hands-on role requiring both technical depth and the ability to work proactively. You will also contribute to ongoing service improvements, providing both strategic and operational support across multiple client environments.About You:
- At least 3 years of experience in an IT service desk role within an MSP environment
- Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting abilities
- Confident working independently and under SLA-driven targets
- Strong experience supporting both MacBooks and Windows machines
- Good working knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft 365, including SharePoint
- Experience with device deployment and configuration using Intune
- Familiarity with ticketing platforms such as Autotask, ConnectWise, or ServiceNow
- Solid understanding of cybersecurity tools and practices including endpoint protection, antivirus, VPNs, and MDMs
- Clear and confident communicator, able to support non-technical users effectively
- Desirable Skills
- Administration experience with SharePoint and Teams
- Scripting ability with PowerShell or the command line
- Familiarity with Azure AD or Entra ID, including MFA reset processes
- Act as an escalation point for 2nd and 3rd line technical issues
- Provide efficient and friendly technical support to end-users
- Perform root cause analysis to reduce repeated incidents
- Manage and resolve tickets within SLA guidelines using platforms like Autotask
- Use RMM tools to monitor, diagnose, and fix hardware and software issues
- Configure and deploy Intune-managed devices across client networks
- Monitor and respond to security alerts and potential threats
- Maintain and support key IT services, including endpoint security and cloud backups
- Onboard new users, including device provisioning and initial setup
- Create and update technical documentation for both internal and client use
- Work closely with other team members to enhance service delivery
