Management Accountant
An exciting opportunity has come up for a Management Accountant to join a high-growth fintech in a dynamic, fast-paced environment. Whether you’re a seasoned Management Accountant or a part-qualified candidate ready to step up, this role offers real scope for growth, ownership, and exposure.You’ll work closely with both the Financial Controller and CFO, supporting business-wide decision-making through accurate reporting, financial insight, and hands-on involvement across a range of projects.The team works mostly remotely, with just one day a week in the office—based in a fantastic central London location.Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare timely and accurate monthly management accounts
- Lead the month-end close process, including journals, accruals, and prepayments
- Partner with department heads to support budgeting and forecasting
- Deliver variance analysis and commentary on business performance
- Support with cash flow forecasting and working capital management
- Assist with statutory accounts and year-end audit preparation
- Identify and implement improvements to systems, processes, and controls
- At least 3 years’ experience working in a finance role with strong exposure to month-end processes
- Proven Management Accounts experience, including variance analysis and stakeholder reporting
- Part-qualified, finalist, or newly qualified (ACCA, CIMA, ACA)
- Open to both career climbers looking for a step up, and more experienced Management Accountants
- Fintech or start-up background is a bonus
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
