Role Overview:

Location: Farnborough

Day Rate: Circa £500/Day Outside IR35

Industry: Secure technology / private cloud engineering

What You'll Be Doing:

• Designing, building and improving a VMware Cloud Foundation environment to support secure, data-driven services.
• Turning technical and business requirements into scalable VCF architectures, including management and workload domains.
• Planning capacity and producing compliant designs across compute, storage, networking and edge components.
• Operating and enhancing multi-classification virtualised environments used for collaboration and development.
• Deploying and automating VCF builds, and integrating core platform services.
• Producing templates, standards and repeatable operating procedures for application and engineering teams.

Main Skills Needed:

• Strong background in infrastructure or platform engineering with exposure to VCF.
• Solid grounding across networking, storage, operating systems, monitoring and logging.
• Understanding of data-centric security concepts.
• Experience working with defence environments or assurance processes is beneficial but not essential.
