M365 Copilot Engineer
My Financial Services client is seeking to recruit a M365 Copilot Engineer/Specialist on an initial 6 month contract based in London. It is hybrid and will require 3x days onsite per week.
You will lead the technical delivery and operationalisation of the Microsoft Copilot ecosystem across the organisation. This includes Microsoft 365 Copilot, Copilots embedded in tools like SharePoint, Teams, Outlook, and Excel, as well as Copilots across the Power Platform and Security stack.
As the subject matter expert (SME), you will be responsible for designing, deploying, and managing intelligent, AI-powered experiences that enhance productivity, decision-making, and automation. You will lead the delivery of Copilot solutions into production, ensure secure and scalable integration with enterprise systems, and manage ongoing optimisation and support.

Accountabilities & Responsibilities
- Lead the technical implementation of Microsoft Copilot solutions across Microsoft 365 (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint) and other platforms.
- Design and configure secure, scalable, and compliant Copilot deployments tailored to business needs.
- Collaborate with IT, security, and business stakeholders to ensure readiness for production rollout.
- Architect and implement integrations between Copilot and enterprise systems to enable contextual, intelligent experiences.
- Support development and management of custom Copilot extensions and agents using tools such as Microsoft Copilot Studio and Azure OpenAI.
- Ensure interoperability across the broader Microsoft ecosystem, including Power BI, Power Automate, and Security Copilot.
- Define and enforce governance standards for Copilot usage, data access, and prompt management.
- Work closely with security and compliance teams to ensure adherence to organisational and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor and manage permissions, data boundaries, and responsible AI practices.
- Own the lifecycle of Copilot solutions post-launch, including monitoring, optimisation, and support.
- Track adoption, performance, and user feedback to drive continuous improvement.
- Provide technical leadership and support for issue resolution and enhancements.
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for Copilot technologies, advising stakeholders on capabilities, limitations, and best practices.
- Support change management and user enablement efforts, including training, documentation, and onboarding.
- Stay current with Microsoft's Copilot roadmap and emerging AI capabilities to inform future strategy.
Essential Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in delivering Microsoft 365 solutions, with a strong focus on Microsoft Copilot technologies.
- Deep understanding of the Microsoft Copilot ecosystem, including Microsoft 365 Copilot, SharePoint Copilot, Teams Copilot, and Security Copilot.
- Experience with Microsoft Azure services, particularly Azure OpenAI, Azure AD, and integration services (e.g., Logic Apps, API Management).
