Manufacturing Systems Trainer

£25 per hour (via umbrella) | 12-Month Contract Monday-Friday | 9am-5pm Castle Bromwich, West Midlands | On-Site (Minimum 3 Days, Increasing to 5 During Deployments)

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Manufacturing Systems Trainer to join an innovative digital transformation team responsible for delivering cutting-edge systems and capability into a specialist automotive facility. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-moving environments, enjoys translating complex technical content into accessible learning, and takes pride in preparing end users for new ways of working.

This position sits within a wider Business Systems Delivery function, the bridge between technical delivery and real-world adoption across operations. Bringing together expertise in change management, business readiness, and testing, the team ensures large-scale manufacturing system deployments land smoothly, are understood clearly, and are adopted effectively across the organisation.

The Role

The Manufacturing Systems Trainer will play a central role in ensuring end users are fully prepared, confident, and capable when new digital tools, processes, and features are deployed. Working closely with testing, business process, technology, and communications teams, the trainer will assess impacts, create learning pathways, deliver training, and support the organisation through adoption.

This is a hands-on, people-focused role that requires structure, clarity, and strong communication. both in writing and in the classroom.

Key Responsibilities
  • Create and deliver blended learning packages tailored to user roles
  • Conduct Training Needs Analyses (TNA) and stakeholder assessments
  • Develop high-quality learning materials: classroom modules, e-learning, assessments, simulations, videos, reference guides
  • Host training events on-site and occasionally off-site across UK facilities
  • Evaluate learner knowledge and readiness at appropriate checkpoints
  • Identify and onboard Super Users and Early Adopters
  • Create and maintain stakeholder engagement plans
  • Support communication of training and readiness messages
  • Manage user access related to deployments
  • Collaborate with Business Process, Testing, Technology, and Comms teams
  • Ensure readiness plans are aligned, structured, and delivered on time
  • Contribute to building a motivated, high-quality deployment capability

  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, SharePoint)
  • Experience facilitating workshops and delivering content to all levels
  • Ability to plan training delivery in a structured, disciplined manner
  • Relevant degree or equivalent experience (preferred)

Desirable Skills
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Experience with Atlassian tools (Jira, Confluence)
  • Experience using SAP SuccessFactors Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Knowledge of EnableNow / RISE learning tools
