Data Business Analyst

We are currently recruiting for a highly analytical Data Business Analyst to join a Bury St Edmunds based business on a permanent basis.

This has an international remit, with occasional international travel. Based in Bury St Edmunds with hybrid and flexible working available.

This role is to support the procurement function through data-driven insights, robust reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse data, trends, and market intelligence to identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities
• Support the development and delivery of procurement strategies aligned with business objectives
• Assist with supplier evaluation, selection, and performance monitoring to ensure compliance and quality standards
• Produce reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior stakeholders
• Work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to gather requirements and support sourcing activities
• Contribute to the design and optimisation of procurement processes, policies, and tools
• Monitor industry best practice, regulatory changes, and market developments

Key Skills

• Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with experience interpreting data
• Proficiency in QlikSense, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and similar data analysis tools
• Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and organisational skills
• Ability to work independently and effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Understanding of UK procurement regulations and ethical standards would be highly advantageous
