Senior M365 Project Engineer/Architect
Akkodis are currently working in partnership with a leading service provider to recruit a Senior M365 Engineer with proven experience of managing Microsoft 365 ecosystems, ensuring secure, collaborative, and highly productive environments.
The Role
As a Senior M365 Engineer/Architect you will have extensive experience of the core M365 tools and become the SME within the organisation engaging in the implementation and automation of 365 solutions across the organisation.
The Responsibilities
* Manage and maintain M365 services including Teams, OneDrive, Intune, & Entra ID.
* Provide Tier 3 support for M365-related incidents and service requests.
* Monitor system health, usage, and security compliance.
* Drive adoption of M365 tools and features to enhance collaboration and productivity.
* Support digital transformation initiatives aligned with business goals.
* License management of the Microsoft platform and services
* Develop and maintain documentation, user guides, and training materials.
* Ensure compliance with internal security and data governance standards.
* Manage identity and access controls, MFA, and device compliance.
* Contribute to infrastructure projects focused on workplace modernisation and security
* Leverage PowerShell and Power Platform (Power Automate, Power Apps) to automate workflows and administrative tasks.
The Requirements
* Proven experience administering Microsoft 365 in a mid-to-large enterprise environment.
* Strong knowledge of EntraID, Azure, Teams, and Intune.
* Experience with PowerShell scripting and M365 security/compliance tools.
* Familiarity with ITIL practices and service management tools (e.g., ServiceNow).
* Broad expertise in on-premise and cloud-based infrastructure and security technologies.
* Understanding of cloud governance frameworks, including IAM, encryption, and compliance.
* Broad expertise and knowledge in infrastructure and security technologies
* Supplier relationship management experience
* Knowledge of working in a multi-site environment
* Experience working in ITIL environments (Change, Incident, and Problem Management)
