The Role
We are seeking a multi-skilled Senior Installations Engineer to take a hands-on role installing, servicing, and maintaining CCTV, intruder alarms, and access control systems. This position will also see you supporting the Engineering Manager with operational decisions, mentoring engineers, and ensuring projects are delivered to exceptional standards.

You will lead on-site works when required, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising on quality or compliance. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge integrated security systems, in an organisation that values professionalism, teamwork, and technical excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, commission, service, and maintain intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems to industry standards

  • Diagnose faults and carry out effective repairs

  • Support and deputise for the Engineering Manager when required

  • Complete system handovers and customer demonstrations

  • Ensure all work meets SSAIB, NSI, and relevant industry regulations

  • Maintain accurate documentation, job sheets, and service reports

  • Stay up-to-date with new security technologies and best practices

  • Participate in the on-call rota for emergency response

  • Maintain tools, equipment, and van stock to a high standard

  • Work safely in accordance with HSE/ECS/CSCS health and safety regulations

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience installing and maintaining intruder alarms, CCTV, and access control systems

  • In-depth knowledge of BS EN 50131, PD6662, and other relevant standards

  • Knowledge of IP CCTV systems, remote monitoring, networking, and NVR setups

  • Ability to work from technical drawings, site plans, and wiring diagrams

  • Understanding of GDPR compliance for security systems

  • Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points)

Desirable (but not essential):

  • SSAIB or NSI certification

  • ECS/CSCS card

  • Manufacturer training on systems such as Texecom, Honeywell Galaxy, Pyronix, Ajax, Hikvision, Dahua, Axis, Paxton, Axiom, Suprema, 2N, Telguard, Videx

  • IT/networking knowledge for IP-based systems
