Purpose of the Role

We are looking for a passionate and quality-driven Internal Quality Assurer to join Apprentify and play a key role in maintaining our Outstanding standards. Following our Grade 1 achievement in September 2022, we remain firmly committed to delivering exceptional learning experiences that set every apprentice up for success.

This role will ensure programmes consistently perform at the highest level. You will work closely with our curriculum and delivery teams to shape, refine, and launch programmes that stand out in the market and meet the evolving needs of our employers.

Quality sits at the heart of everything we do. The postholder will lead on key quality assurance activity, including timely sampling, supporting Development Coaches, and ensuring full compliance with Awarding Organisations, mock assessments, and EPAO requirements. Above all, you will help create a learning environment where every apprentice feels supported, confident, and able to thrive.

Key Responsibilities

Internal Quality Assurance (IQA)

  • Conduct timely desktop sampling in Bud Systems, following the company sampling strategy and providing rich developmental feedback.
  • Conduct apprentice and employer interviews as part of the sampling process.
  • Complete deep dives and assessment activity across all areas of delivery.
  • Conduct quality assurance sampling of curriculum e‐learning and learning resources.
  • Maintain and manage a sampling plan, ensuring all planned samples are completed on time.
  • Ensure all IQA practice meets Awarding Organisation (AO) and End‐Point Assessment Organisation (EPAO) expectations.

Teaching, Learning & Assessment Quality

  • Conduct timely observations of teaching, learning and assessment in line with the Teaching and Learning Policy.
  • Deliver robust oral and written feedback to Development Coaches (DCs) to drive improvements in learner outcomes and timely completions.
  • Conduct Mock End‐Point Assessments for all apprentices.
  • Conduct EPA‐related activity with apprentices and employers (where relevant) when triggered by DCs

Development Coach (DC) & Capability Building

  • Provide ongoing support, guidance and developmental feedback to Development Coaches.
  • Deliver, monitor, and evaluate DC/Tutor CPD requirements (remote and face‐to‐face) in line with the Quality Framework.
  • Conduct DC observations and provide developmental feedback that supports improved operational delivery and learner experience.
  • Develop DCs to excel in delivery, operational performance, and overall customer experience.

Curriculum Consultation & Project Delivery

  • Actively monitor and support progress against the live Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
  • Contribute to Self‐Assessment processes and Quality Improvement activities.
  • Attend and lead (where relevant) standardisation meetings, developmental sessions, and team meetings.
  • Facilitate standardisation and training sessions in line with the Annual Quality & Curriculum Planner.
  • Ensure Bud Systems is fully utilised to track, manage and monitor learner progress.

Essential Skills & Experience

  • Competence and experience IQA’ing within the following apprenticeship standards: Multi Channel Marketer, Content Creator, Marketing Executive and PR and Communications
  • Experience of delivering Apprenticeship Standards and Assessing
  • Experience in observations of teaching and learning
  • Proven track record of raising standards of delivery, developing staff and leading EQA visits
  • Sound knowledge of Ofsted and the Education Inspection Framework

Desirable

  • Experience of using bksb and CognAssist
  • Experience of using ePortfolios (Bud Systems ) and Learning Management Systems
  • Achieved English, Maths and ICT Functional Skills at Level 2

Makes decisions that protect Apprentify’s reputation and contribute to sustainable business performance.
  • Innovation & Improvement: Proactively uses sampling outcomes, data insights, learner/employer feedback and sector trends to recommend and implement improvements. Challenges existing practice where needed, leads on enhancements to curriculum, assessment, and delivery, and contributes to the evolution of Apprentify’s quality frameworks. Drives a culture of continuous improvement that results in measurable gains in learner experience and programme quality.
  • Collaboration & Influence: Works seamlessly with Development Coaches, Curriculum, Operations and Employer teams to create a cohesive, high‐impact learner journey. Builds trusted and influential relationships, providing clear guidance that uplifts capability and performance. Positively shapes decision‐making through evidence, expertise, and a solutions‐focused approach. Acts as a bridge between teams to ensure consistency, compliance and shared ownership of quality.
  • Results Orientation: Takes ownership of quality targets, compliance standards, and delivery outcomes. Uses data to monitor progress, identify risks early, and implement corrective actions quickly. Consistently drives improvements in timely completions, quality of delivery, EPA readiness, and learner/employer satisfaction. Ensures all IQA activity contributes directly to Apprentify’s success measures and long‐term quality goals.
