A well established and fast-growing Managed Service Provider are on the market for an Infrastructure project engineer to join their growing technical team. This role focuses on delivering a wide range of client projects, both onsite and remotely.

You will work closely with the Technical Manager and Service Delivery Manager, taking responsibility for driving projects from start to finish. This is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of technical work, planning and customer interaction.

Role Overview

  • Deliver IT projects on time and to a high standard both onsite and remotely
  • Manage multiple client projects keeping stakeholders informed throughout.
  • Install, configure and upgrade hardware, servers, networks, firewalls and cloud platforms.
  • Support migrations, system integrations and infrastructure upgrades.
  • Troubleshoot complex technical issues and provide reliable solutions.
  • Maintain clear documentation and provide handovers to support teams
  • Assist with IT security initiatives and ensure compliance with standards.
  • Represent the company professionally with clients and vendors,

What we are looking for

  • At least 4 years of experience in IT project delivery or technical implementation.
  • Ability to manage several projects at once with excellent organisational skills.
  • Strong communication skills and customer focused approach.
  • Problem solving mindset and technical confidence.
  • Hands on experience with desktops, servers, network devices, firewalls and cloud solutions.
  • Comfortable troubleshooting issues onsite and remotely.
  • Able to create clear technical documentation and handovers.
  • Full UK driving licence and ability to travel to client sites.

Key Skills

  • Windows 11 and Windows Server – setup, configuration, Active Directory, Group Policy.
  • Microsoft 365 – admin, migration, troubleshooting.
  • Networking – switches, VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP.
  • Virtualisation – Hyper-V management.
  • Backup & Recovery – deployment and configuration.
  • Security tools – Antivirus/MDR platforms
  • Wi-Fi & Firewalls – configuration and troubleshooting (Ubiquiti/Sonic Wall advantageous).
  • Cyber essential (advantageous)
