Product Designer

The Role

We’re looking for a Product Designer to help shape Aveni’s AI-powered products across multiple streams running in parallel.

This is a delivery-focused role in a fast-moving environment. You’ll need to move quickly without losing sight of the bigger picture, understanding how design decisions impact users, services, and systems across our wider product suite. You’ll balance short-term delivery with longer-term thinking, ensuring experiences are coherent, scalable, and aligned with Aveni’s AI-first vision.

You’ll work closely with Product Managers, Product Owners and Engineers from discovery through to delivery, contributing to high-quality solutions and helping evolve Aveni’s design system as our platform grows.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Designing end-to-end user experiences across multiple products
• Applying service design and systems thinking to connect journeys, workflows, and touchpoints
• Making design decisions with awareness of their wider impact beyond individual features
• Producing clear, high-quality UI and interaction designs that work within real delivery constraints
• Contributing to the implementation, maintenance, and evolution of Aveni’s design system
• Collaborating closely with product and engineering throughout the delivery lifecycle
• Participating in discovery, problem framing, and solution exploration where possible
• Clearly communicating design rationale, including trade-offs and constraints
• Supporting engineers during build to ensure design intent is delivered accurately
• Continuously improving design quality while working at pace

What We’re Looking For

You’ll need:

• Proven experience as a Product Designer working on software products
• Experience designing complex workflows or systems, not just isolated screens
• Experience working closely with engineering teams in agile environments
• Experience contributing to or working with a design system
• Strong service design and systems thinking skills
• Strong UI and interaction design skills with great attention to detail
• The ability to balance speed with thoughtful decision-making
• An organised, proactive approach and the ability to manage multiple streams of work

It’s a bonus if you have:

• Experience working across multiple products or a product suite
• Experience designing AI-powered or data-driven products
• Experience in regulated or complex domains (e.g. fintech, compliance, QA, CX)
• Familiarity with service blueprints, journey mapping, or systems-thinking tools
• Experience designing for explainability, trust, or confidence in AI-driven experiences
