We’re looking for an experienced Business Development Manager to join a growing commercial team within the security and systems integration sector. This is a high-impact role focused on driving revenue growth through a mix of account reactivation, new business acquisition, and the expansion of digital service adoption.

The Role

As Business Development Manager, you’ll be responsible for developing a strong sales pipeline by re-engaging existing customers, winning new business, and increasing the uptake of digital and service-led solutions. You’ll work closely with internal teams to deliver a joined-up, customer-focused sales approach and report directly into senior sales leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Proactively identify and develop underperforming or dormant accounts, uncovering opportunities to drive sustainable revenue growth
  • Generate and qualify new leads, building and managing a robust sales pipeline
  • Win new customers within the security and systems integration market
  • Promote and grow digital service offerings, including cloud-based and remote management solutions, particularly within non-adopting accounts
  • Identify upsell and cross-sell opportunities across existing and new customers
  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and evolving customer needs to inform sales strategy
  • Collaborate with marketing, product, and technical teams to ensure a seamless customer journey
  • Track and report on sales performance, pipeline activity, and KPIs

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in a business development or sales role, ideally within security, electronics, or B2B technical environments
  • Demonstrable success in reactivating lapsed or underperforming accounts
  • Strong solution-based selling capability within a technical or service-led offering
  • Experience selling digital services or SaaS solutions is highly desirable
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
  • Self-motivated, results-driven, and comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Confident using CRM systems and Microsoft Office tools
