Job summary

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Data Warehouse Manager to lead our Clinical Systems Data Warehouse Team.

You will be responsible for the design, development, implementation, and support of the Trust's Data Warehouse and associated services.

This is a pivotal role, acting as technical architect and subject matter expert, ensuring robust data flows, high-quality reporting, and the delivery of business-critical datasets to support operational services, finance, and business intelligence.

Key responsibilities include:o Leading and motivating a team of Lead and Senior Developerso Overseeing the delivery of new datasets and enhancements to the Data Warehouseo Managing projects, resources, and budgets to deliver solutions on time and within scopeo Acting as Change Manager for business rules and ensuring compliance with governance standardso Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, including clinical and corporate teams, suppliers, and NHS bodieso Ensuring data quality, security, and integrity in line with NHS and Trust standardso Supporting financial business rules and monthly reporting cycleso Driving innovation and continuous improvement in data management and analytics

Main duties of the job

You will work within the Clinical Systems Data Warehouse Team. It is a dynamic team which supports the Trust's corporate Data Warehouse helping drive the Trusts reporting and operational needs.

To support an ongoing programme of change, the Data Warehouse Manager will lead a group of Lead and Senior Developers to deliver new datasets into the data warehouse as well as working on developments to enhance the BHRUT data warehouse system. You will also act as a technical architect for the data warehouse system.

Responsible for the determination, design, development, implementation, and support of the Trust Data Warehouse and its associated services and applications.

The role is also responsible for the delivery of DWH services to support the business needs of Operational Services, Finance and Business Intelligence. The purpose of the role is to provide subject matter expertise in data sets which will be used to provide advice, support change projects, system upgrades and end user queries.

The line management and welfare of all assigned staff carrying out the above.

The planning of all projects progress, assessment of required resources, determination of project timetable

The monitoring of project progress and the use of staff and other resources.

Regular work reviews for staff in the team, and recommending training and personal development assistance, as appropriate.

Customer liaison and design proposals in assigned projects.

Essential
  • Educated to master's degree level study or equivalent experience
Desirable
  • PRINCE 2 Foundation qualification or proof of project management experience.

Experience

Essential
  • Experience of design and development and implementation of at least one significant implementation. Significant Working experience using NHS Datasets, Data Models and NHS Payment & Commissioning Knowledge
  • Experience in programming languages, SQL Server and SSIS.
