IT Support Technician 

Location: Coatbridge Salary: Up to £45,000 + Benefits Contract: Full-time on-site 

Are you passionate about technology and problem-solving? We’re looking for an experienced IT Technician to provide technical support, maintain IT infrastructure, and ensure systems run efficiently across the organisation.

About the Role

As an IT Technician, you will:

  • Deliver 1st & 2nd line support for hardware, software, and network issues.
  • Install, configure, and maintain Windows and Linux systems, printers, and peripherals.
  • Administer Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and network services.
  • Manage VMware vSphere and other virtualization technologies.
  • Troubleshoot PC hardware, perform repairs, and monitor system health.
  • Assist with IT security measures, backups, and disaster recovery.
  • Document technical issues and provide training to staff.
  • Support the implementation of the IT roadmap and ensure compliance with security policies.
Required Skills
  • Windows Server 
  • Active Directory 
  • Linux administration
  • PC diagnosis & hardware troubleshooting
  • VMware vSphere (or similar) 
  • Networking: Switching, routing, VLANs, DNS, DHCP
  • Firewalls, VPNs, VoIP technology
Desirable Skills
  • Patch management & vulnerability remediation 
  • Antivirus solutions
  • Backup & disaster recovery 
  • Knowledge of Cyber Essentials Plus
  • RAID configurations, NAS management
  • Microsoft Exchange (on-premise) 
  • Experience with in-house and third-party software
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
