The European Procurement Manager contributes to Bechtle’s success by ensuring efficient and customer-focused sourcing processes. They continuously seek to optimise and automate the supply chain while enhancing customer satisfaction. They achieve margin improvements through targeted renegotiations, make decisions with consideration of total cost of ownership and customer satisfaction, and actively monitor the successful execution of the project. They negotiate framework agreements with distributors, defining the parameters of collaboration with—and securing profitability for—Bechtle’s sales units. They assess suppliers based on quality and performance metrics, initiating appropriate measures for continuous optimisation. They act as a key interface between L&S, suppliers and manufacturers, and serve as contact for Sales.
Job Role Responsibilities
- You act as an interface between our sales units in the United Kingdom and Ireland and our IT manufacturers and suppliers.
- Your responsibilities include obtaining and preparing quotations, including reviewing and renegotiating them.
- Furthermore, identifying and maintaining national and international sources of supply is part of your role.
- You coordinate all essential procurement activities, thereby making a significant contribution to the successful completion of projects.
- Through active order monitoring of big projects, you are always ready to support your colleagues with advice and assistance whenever questions arise about a specific order or delivery difficulties become apparent.
- You are responsible for negotiating supplier contracts, defining the procurement strategy, and ensuring the successful achievement of all procurement objectives, while maintaining profitability under Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) considerations.

Experience
- Several years of professional experience in procurement or strategic sourcing, ideally in an international environment.
- Excellent negotiation skills, strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Fluent in English; additional European languages are an advantage.
- Understanding of B2B processes desirable but not essential.
- Proficiency in procurement tools and ERP systems (e.g., SAP)
