DDI Infrastructure Architect
DDI Infrastructure Architect Contract - Hybrid South Yorkshire (3 days on site) - Immediate Start - 12 Months Rolling
We're working with a major enterprise technology programme that's looking to bring in an experienced DDI Architect/Subject Matter Expert to lead the design and delivery of large scale DNS, DHCP, and IPAM infrastructure.
This is a long term rolling contract, offering a mix of strategic design work and hands on engineering in a complex, high availability environment.
The Role:
You'll take ownership of DDI architecture and delivery across enterprise environments, working closely with infrastructure, network, and security teams.
Key responsibilities include:
- Leading large scale DDI infrastructure projects, including upgrades, migrations, and platform transformations
- Designing, deploying, and operationalising DNS, DHCP & IPAM services across new and existing environments
- Ensuring DDI platforms are scalable, resilient, and consumable for internal teams
- Managing technical risk, downstream service impact, and operational dependencies
- Producing technical documentation and supporting project governance
- Working in an Agile delivery environment (JIRA exposure beneficial)
- Collaborating across distributed teams and stakeholders
What They're Looking For:
- Strong background as a DDI Architect/Engineer/SME
- Hands on experience with enterprise DDI platforms such as: Infoblox, EfficientIP, Cygna VitalQIP, F5 BIG-IP DNS
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, UDP, and DNS
- Experience delivering infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and platform changes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Nice to have:
- Automation or Scripting (Ansible, Python, Shell, APIs, JSON, etc.)
- Agile delivery experience (Scrum/Kanban, JIRA)
- Enterprise or regulated-environment background
