IT Project Manager - Private Markets

We are seeking an experienced Technology Project Manager to lead the delivery of a roadmap for a bespoke, in-house system within a private markets/asset management environment. The role involves managing enhancements, upgrades and incremental improvements to a live platform, ensuring continued value delivery aligned with regulatory, operational and governance standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Own and manage the delivery of a prioritised roadmap for a bespoke internal system, including enhancements and technical improvements.
  • Act as the primary interface between business stakeholders, in-house technology teams, and third-party vendors.
  • Plan and coordinate incremental releases, balancing new functionality with platform stability.
  • Develop and maintain detailed delivery plans, milestones, dependencies, and artefacts aligned to agile practices.
  • Manage scope, budget, risks, and interdependencies across concurrent initiatives.
  • Ensure all change activity adheres to internal governance, risk, and control frameworks for regulated environments.
  • Facilitate requirements definition and prioritization with business users and development teams.
  • Oversee testing, regression, release, and deployment activities to minimize operational disruption.
  • Coordinate business readiness and adoption for new features and improvements.
  • Provide clear, concise delivery reporting to senior stakeholders and governance forums.
Required Experience & Skills
  • Proven experience delivering technology-enabled change to live, business-critical systems.
  • Strong background in roadmapping and incremental delivery for bespoke in-house platforms.
  • Experience within private markets or asset management environments.
  • Familiarity with agile delivery models (Scrum, Kanban, or hybrid).
  • Hands-on experience with in-house development teams and modern delivery toolsets.
  • Proficiency with Jira or similar tools for backlog management and reporting.
  • Strong understanding of regulated environments, including risk and governance frameworks.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
