Business Development Manager
Salary £30K - £38K per annum plus commission (£60K - £76K OTE) - hybrid working
Are you a business development professional who thrives on subscription sales and consultative selling, and want to make a real impact in a growing sector?
We are exclusively retained by our client, a fast-growing safety solutions provider with a team of 140 staff, to recruit a new Business Development Manager. The company is expanding its sales team to support ambitious growth plans and increasing demand from both the public and private sector. This new role has been created to help drive recurring revenue growth and capitalise on the company’s strong market position.
In this role you’ll be responsible for turning warm, marketing-generated leads into long-term customer relationships, with a clear focus on monthly recurring revenue. You’ll be selling innovative subscription-based safety solutions that enable organisations to protect their staff and fulfil their duty of care.
Customers range from NHS trusts and logistics companies to retailers and engineering firms, giving you a broad and interesting client base to work with. Success will mean achieving £2,000 of new monthly recurring revenue, which could be made up of several smaller deals or one larger enterprise win.
We’re looking for someone who is highly activity-driven, commercially minded and confident in adapting their approach to different customer personas. You’ll need proven experience in consultative sales, ideally with a background in SaaS, technology, or subscription-based solutions. Strong questioning, discovery and relationship-building skills will help you engage with decision makers such as Heads of Health & Safety and Heads of Security. If you thrive in a structured, KPI-driven environment but also enjoy tailoring your style to the needs of your customer, this role is for you.
