Anaplan Developer

The Role

We are seeking a highly capable and hands-on Anaplan Developer / Model Builder to join our Finance organisation, working closely with the FP&A team. This role will take primary ownership of Anaplan from a development perspective, with a strong focus on establishing and supporting a Centre of Excellence (CoE) within FP&A. Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Model development and maintenance
  • System optimisation
  • Ensuring data integrity
  • Report development and output management

Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of the Anaplan platform, including ongoing development, continuous improvement, and regular review of model structures to ensure alignment with reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with FP&A and wider business SMEs to expand Anaplan use cases and enhance functional capabilities.
  • Maintain and update model architecture in line with evolving business needs, including organisational changes and M&A activities.
  • Partner with IT to integrate data flows between Anaplan and other internal systems/software (e.g., Data Warehouse, NetSuite, HiBob).
  • Ensure data accuracy, integrity, and user security controls, and implement additional measures where required.
  • Design intuitive UX pages and dashboards to improve usability and user engagement.
  • Create, deliver, and maintain user training, including documentation tailored to varying use cases.
  • Perform any other reasonable duties as required.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience as an L2/L3 Anaplan Model Builder (Master Anaplanner or Solution Architect certification preferred), with practical experience in financial reporting and forecasting models.
  • Working knowledge of AnaplanXL, ADO, Workflow, and other Anaplan tools and connectors.
  • Strong Excel skills and experience with data integration; detail-oriented and collaborative.
  • Experience leading cross-functional projects and working with stakeholders and vendors (experience with Oracle NetSuite is a plus).
  • Ability to work to deadlines and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
  • Background in FP&A is preferable.
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent qualification is desirable.
  • Excellent attention to detail, strong numerical ability, and robust analytical skills.
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to engage professionally with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Experience within the Financial Services sector is advantageous.
  • A proactive mindset and willingness to learn and grow with the organisation.
