Business Development Specialist (Media) As a Business Development Specialist, you’ll focus on building new business by identifying opportunities, engaging potential clients, and closing deals. Your role will be driven by activity KPIs, and your ability to convert prospects into long-term customers. You’ll also work closely with internal teams to ensure clients receive the best solutions to meet their needs and support their growth. Key Responsibilities:
  • New Business Acquisition: Identify, target, and sign new clients through proactive outreach, relationship building, and needs-based selling.
  • Drive Revenue Growth: Meet or exceed activity KPIs and sales targets, focusing on securing and growing revenue through new client acquisition.
  • Needs-Based Selling: Understand client challenges and business goals to present tailored solutions that address their specific needs and demonstrate the value of Zoopla’s products.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Own the full sales cycle, from initial contact and discovery to closing the deal and transitioning clients to account management.
  • Client Engagement: Establish strong relationships with potential clients, ensuring a smooth sales process and a positive experience from first touch to contract signing.
  • Collaboration with Internal Teams: Work closely with the account management and product teams to ensure clients are receiving the best solutions and a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Market Insight: Stay up to date on industry trends, competitor offerings, and market conditions to position Zoopla as the leading choice for digital solutions in real estate.
We’re looking for someone who:
  • Driven & Results-Oriented: A passion for driving sales, hitting targets, and securing new business. Demonstrated success in a high-performance sales environment.
  • Sales Expertise: Proven experience in needs-based selling and closing deals in a B2B or similar environment.
  • Relationship Builder: Strong ability to build rapport with new clients and navigate the sales process with ease.
  • Industry Knowledge: Experience in property, software, or digital media sectors. Familiarity with real estate or digital transformation is a plus.
  • Self-Motivated & Independent: Ability to work autonomously, manage your time effectively, and stay focused on achieving sales goals.
  • Excellent Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage clients and prospects at all levels and convey value propositions clearly.
  • Team-Oriented: Collaborative mindset, willing to share insights, knowledge, and best practices with colleagues to drive overall team success.
Ideal Experience:
  • Sales Success: Proven track record in new business development, consistently hitting KPIs, and achieving sales targets.
  • Multi-Product Sales: Experience selling a diverse range of products and services, with the ability to adapt your approach to meet varied client needs.
  • CRM Proficiency: Experience using CRM systems (Salesforce preferred) to manage leads, track sales activity, and maintain client records.
  • Target-Driven: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, target-driven environment with a focus on activity metrics and closing sales
