Infrastructure Engineer
A fast-growing logistics company based near Glasgow is looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer to join their internal IT function at an exciting time of transformation and investment in technology. This is a fully on-site position where you'll play a key role in shaping, supporting, and improving the systems that underpin a large and operationally critical business.
You'll be joining a close-knit and technically strong infrastructure team, working across a varied mix of business-as-usual support and project work. This is a hands-on role with real impact - you'll be trusted with core systems, exposed to a broad technology stack, and involved in ongoing upgrades and modernisation initiatives as the organisation continues to scale. If you enjoy being close to the technology, solving complex problems, and seeing the direct results of your work across a business, this role will suit you well.
You will be responsible for:
Providing 3rd line infrastructure support across the business while taking ownership of the day-to-day health of the company's IT environment. You'll maintain and improve on-premise and cloud infrastructure, troubleshoot complex technical issues raised by internal users and external partners, and play an active role in delivering infrastructure projects and upgrades. Alongside this, you'll monitor system performance, availability, and security, working closely with other members of the IT team and key stakeholders to ensure systems remain reliable, secure, and fit for future growth.
You'll ideally have experience with:
** Previous experience in an Infrastructure / 3rd Line Support role
** Strong, up-to-date knowledge of ICT technologies
** Cisco networking hardware (routers, switches, etc.)
** Server administration
** Office 365 / Microsoft 365 troubleshooting and support
** Linux (beneficial, but not essential)
In return they are offering a salary between £40-55k (DOE) and the opportunity to work in a varied technical environment with long-term career progression.
This role is fully onsite so the organisation is only considering candidate that are local and have access to their own vehicle.
