Infrastructure Engineer

Infrastructure Engineer – (Infrastructure, On-Prem, VMware, Hyper-V, Windows Server, AD, Exchange, O365, Migration, Cloud, Azure, SCCM, Intune, Networking) – FTC – London/Home Based

Charles Simon Associates are currently recruiting for an Infrastructure Engineer on an initial 18 month FTC basis for a well known business based in Central London.

This role will be supporting both on-prem and cloud technologies with an emphasis of on prem support. The successful candidate will also be involved in migration work on an ad hoc basis.

Location: London 1 day per week, home based 4 days per week

Salary: Up to £50,000 per annum

Skills/Requirements for the Infrastructure Engineer:

• Previous experience within a similar role
• Strong On Prem experience around Windows Server, Active Directory and Exchange
• Extensive O365 experience
• Migration experience to cloud ideally via Azure
• Virtulisation experience, VMware and/or Hyper-V
• Networking, around Firewalls, VLAN’s, Routing and deploying LAN/WAN’s
• MS Azure experience
• Imaging tools ideally both SCCM and Intune

Start date is ASAP for the Infrastructure Engineer

The Infrastructure Engineer will be responsible for:

• Delivering and enhancing the infrastructure and security solutions that support the business functions
• Monitoring systems health, applying patches, and maintaining the infrastructure to ensure reliability and performance
• Leading service improvement initiatives and upholding high standards of security across all platforms
• Securing and hardening infrastructure using vulnerability management tools and best practices
• Supporting and implementing Azure-based infrastructure solutions for scalable, resilient deployments
• Using service management tools to track, resolve, and improve IT operations
• Collaborating across teams to triage and resolve end-user issues with speed and precision
• Communicating clearly and professionally, both verbally and in writing, with technical and non-technical stakeholders
