Senior IT Engineer - MSP London | Hybrid£40,000-£50,000 DOE + Benefits

A well-established and forward-thinking MSP is seeking a technically skilled and people-focused Senior IT Engineer to join their growing support team. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong infrastructure and support experience who enjoys mentoring others, leading projects, and delivering high-quality service to clients.

This Senior IT Engineer role is based between on site in central London and travel to client sites as needed.

• Provide responsive 2nd/3rd line technical support to clients across various environments.
• Lead and manage support engineers, ensuring effective time management and workload distribution.
• Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 environments.
• Support and manage virtualisation platforms (including Docker, LXD/LXC, and VDI technologies).
• Maintain and troubleshoot network infrastructure, including DNS, DHCP, and VoIP systems.
• Work with both Windows and Linux systems, including basic Linux server administration.
• Contribute to internal knowledge bases and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Liaise with system administrators to report on project progress and technical issues.
• Occasionally work out-of-hours and attend client sites as needed.

• Proven experience in a senior IT support or infrastructure role, ideally within an MSP.
• Strong knowledge of Windows, Mac OS, and Linux workstation administration.
• Hands-on experience with Microsoft 365, Azure AD, Exchange Online, SharePoint, and Teams.
• Familiarity with Google Workspace administration and VoIP technologies (e.g. FreePBX).
• Solid understanding of networking principles and troubleshooting using the OSI model.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive, team-oriented mindset.
• Experience managing junior engineers and coordinating technical schedules.
• A commitment to documentation, process improvement, and information security.
