IT Infrastructure Analyst
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an IT Infrastructure Analyst to join my clients team in their North London Head Office.
Role Overview
The IT Infrastructure Engineer is responsible for maintaining, improving, and supporting the organisation’s IT infrastructure. This role delivers high-quality 2nd and 3rd line support to over 600 users across 170+ retail and head office locations in the UK and Europe, while also contributing to infrastructure projects and system improvements.
Key Responsibilities
• Support, maintain, and optimise a multi-site IT infrastructure to ensure stability, performance, and security
• Provide escalated 2nd/3rd line support for complex server, network, and application issues
• Manage and support technologies including Nutanix, Microsoft Servers, Veeam, Entra ID, Office 365, Exchange, Cisco/Meraki networking, MPLS, RDS, SCCM, and patch management
• Deliver a high standard of customer-facing technical support across stores and head office
• Assist with the development and adherence to IT policies, procedures, and best practices
• Design, implement, and support infrastructure upgrades and IT projects in collaboration with internal teams and suppliers
Required Skills & Experience
• Strong experience supporting Windows 11 and Windows Server (2016–2025) at 2nd/3rd line
• Virtual machine management and backup solutions
• Router, firewall, and network administration
• Proven ability to troubleshoot complex infrastructure issues in a multi-site environment
Key Accountabilities
• Assist with the implementation, maintenance, and ongoing support of all hardware and software systems to ensure reliable and efficient operation.
Monitor and maintain a complex, multi-site IT infrastructure, including:
• Multiple servers across multiple locations o Nutanix virtual machine cluster running Microsoft Servers
• Veeam backup infrastructure
• Hybrid Entra ID environment
• Hybrid Microsoft Exchange / Office 365 with Mimecast
• Cisco and Meraki networking
• MPLS network
• Microsoft Remote Desktop Services applications
• SCCM
• Centralised patch management across desktops and servers
