Our client is looking for an experienced Property Data Validation Officer

*Must be able to perform Power queries, analyse property data - analytical thinking is paramount.

Qualification

•             Higher Education Qualification (e.g. BTEC, NVQ, HNC, diploma or similar) equivalent or above in IT/Computer Science, or equivalent experience 

Skills; Experience and Attitude

Essential:

•             Advanced Information Technology skills with the ability to apply these to real world situations and to learn new systems and processes as and when required.

•             Ability to use Power Query, Structured Query Language (SQL), Microsoft Access, Excel and Visual Basics for Applications (VBA) to advanced level.

•             Knowledge and experience of retrieving, collating, manipulating, quality assuring and presenting data for analysis and reporting.

•             Ability to read, interpret and follow complex user manuals and manufacturers’ directions and instructions.

•             Demonstrate attention to detail in data analysis and reporting to ensure datasets are accurately maintained and data is consistent across different systems if necessary.

•             Flexible approach to workstream due to changing priorities, and be willing to recommend changes and improvements to existing processes.

•             Demonstrate a commitment to providing a quality professional service to clients and stakeholders as first point of contact.

•             High standard of effective communication skills both verbal and written, showing courtesy, patience and understanding.

•             Ability to maintain confidentiality.

•             Ability to work under pressure and to meet business and project deadlines.

  • This role within the Asset Management Team, is to work within a team in the production and communication of a wide variety of property-based asset intelligence data that are necessary for timely, well informed, cost effective and critical actions decisions. These decisions being relied on by Council officers, internal and external service providers, Central Government and ultimately by local residents.
  • The role assists the Asset Information Manager and the team to liaise closely with internal and external stakeholders, and to assist in providing effective technical and administrative solutions that enable efficient maintenance, development, analysis, reporting and automation of the departmental databases and record management systems, including those outlined below.
  • The role will provide training and support to internal and external users of Asset Information Systems, Reports and Data to ensure a consistent approach to data collection and reporting, and to ensure systems are operating as expected. This may include liaising with IT staff where appropriate.
  • As a provider of social housing the health and safety of our residents, contractors, staff and the general public is of the highest importance. The role is required to continuously maintain and improve the robustness of data collection and reporting systems ensuring Statutory Compliance of servicing and inspection regimes such as Gas Safety, Fire Protection and Electrical Testing.
