Financial Controller – 12-Month Fixed Term Contract

Location: Central London (Hybrid: 2–3 days in office)

We’re looking for an accomplished Financial Controller to join a fast-growing technology business. This 12-month fixed-term role offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact within a dynamic, global environment undergoing significant growth and transformation.

The role

As Financial Controller, you’ll take ownership of the group’s financial control, reporting, and compliance activities. Acting as a trusted partner to senior leadership helping shape strategic decisions while maintaining a robust financial framework.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting, driving continuous improvement in internal controls, and supporting the wider finance transformation agenda. Working closely with global teams, you’ll play a key role in stabilising and strengthening financial operations during a critical period of expansion.

Key responsibilities
  • Oversee group financial reporting, month-end close, and statutory compliance
  • Lead global audit deliverables and manage relationships with external auditors
  • Maintain and enhance internal control frameworks, ensuring compliance with best practice and relevant standards
  • Manage general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and fixed assets processes
  • Support system improvements and finance transformation projects
  • Partner with senior leadership to deliver budgeting, forecasting, and performance insights
  • Develop and coach team members to support a high-performing finance culture
About you
  • Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA or equivalent)
  • Proven experience in a senior finance or controllership role within a complex, multinational or high-growth environment
  • Strong technical accounting background, including group consolidations and reporting standards
  • Excellent understanding of internal controls and compliance frameworks
  • Advanced Excel and financial systems experience (NetSuite experience advantageous)
  • Strong communicator, comfortable influencing across functions and geographies
  • Adaptable, hands-on, and solutions-oriented, with a passion for improving processes and driving change
