IFS Functional Consultant – Finance (IFS Cloud)

My client, a leading multisite organisation, is seeking to hire an experienced IFS Functional Consultant with strong Finance expertise to support the implementation and optimisation of IFS Cloud. The consultant will be responsible for leading finance workstreams, ensuring IFS Cloud financial modules are configured to meet business, statutory, and reporting requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead functional design and implementation of IFS Cloud Finance modules, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Fixed Assets, Cash Management, and Financial Reporting.
• Gather, analyse, and document finance business requirements and translate them into functional specifications aligned with IFS Cloud best practices.
• Configure finance modules, accounting structures, posting controls, tax rules, currencies, and financial workflows within IFS Cloud.
• Conduct fit-gap analysis and recommend process improvements to maximise standard IFS Cloud functionality.
• Support data migration activities, including chart of accounts, opening balances, suppliers, customers, and assets.
• Work closely with technical consultants on integrations, reports, and extensions related to finance.
• Support system testing (SIT, UAT) and resolve finance-related defects.
• Provide end-user training, documentation, and go-live / post-go-live support.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, audit, and internal financial controls.

Required Experience & Skills

• Proven experience as an IFS Functional Consultant specialising in Finance.
• Hands-on experience delivering IFS Cloud finance implementations or upgrades.
• Strong understanding of core finance processes and accounting principles.
• Experience with multi-currency, multi-entity, and statutory reporting requirements.
• Ability to engage effectively with finance stakeholders and senior business users.
• Strong documentation and workshop facilitation skills.
• IFS Cloud Finance certification.
• Experience with project accounting, cost control, or asset-intensive industries.
• Exposure to integrations with payroll, banking, tax, or BI/reporting tools.
• Background in full end-to-end ERP transformation programmes.
