IFS Consultant – Service Management
My client, a leading business services organisation with headquarters in Chancery Lane, is seeking to hire an experienced IFS Consultant specializing in the Service Management module to support the implementation, configuration, and optimization of IFS Service Management solutions. The consultant will work closely with business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure the system supports end-to-end service operations, improves service delivery efficiency, and aligns with business processes.
This role requires strong functional expertise in IFS Service Management combined with hands-on implementation experience and the ability to translate business requirements into effective system solutions.
Remote working will be available, with occasional travel to the office required. This will be a contract role outside IR35. Daily rate to the consultant will be circa £700pd. For further details, please apply using the link provided.
Key Responsibilities
Functional Consulting & Solution Design
- Lead or support the implementation of the IFS Service Management module, including:
- Service Orders
- Work Orders
- Preventive and Corrective Maintenance
- Field Service Management
- Resource and Scheduling Management
- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for service operations
- Design end-to-end service processes within IFS, ensuring alignment with best practices
- Configure IFS to support service workflows, service contracts, SLAs, and pricing
Implementation & Delivery
- Configure system settings, parameters, and business rules within IFS Service Management
- Support system integration with related IFS modules (e.g. Finance, Supply Chain, Projects, Asset Management)
- Assist with data migration, testing (SIT/UAT), and deployment activities
- Support cutover planning and go-live execution
Stakeholder & User Engagement
- Act as a trusted advisor to business users and project stakeholders
- Deliver workshops, process walkthroughs, and solution demonstrations
- Support user training and knowledge transfer
- Provide post-go-live support and continuous improvement recommendations
Documentation & Governance
- Produce functional design documents, configuration documentation, and user guides
- Support change management and ensure solutions meet audit and governance standards
- Identify risks, dependencies, and improvement opportunities throughout the project lifecycle
Required Experience & Skills
- Proven experience as an IFS Functional Consultant with strong focus on Service Management
- Hands-on experience delivering at least one full IFS Service Management implementation
- Strong understanding of service operations, maintenance processes, and field service models
- Experience configuring service orders, work orders, contracts, and scheduling in IFS
- Ability to translate complex business requirements into practical system solutions
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with IFS Cloud
- Exposure to asset-intensive industries (e.g. manufacturing, utilities, energy, engineering, construction)
- Experience working in multi-module IFS environments
- IFS certification(s) in Service Management or related modules
- Consulting background or experience working with system integrators
