Junior Project Manager - Retail Technology Deployment

Our client, a specialist in technology deployments for the retail and hospitality sector, is looking for a Junior Project Manager to join their growing operations team in Altrincham. This hybrid role is ideal for someone with 2-3 years of experience in a project delivery or operations support role, who is ready to step into a junior project leadership position.

You'll be coordinating multi-site technology installations for high-profile retail brands, ensuring projects run smoothly and customers stay informed every step of the way.

Responsibilities:

• Manage the day-to-day coordination of live deployment projects across multiple client sites
• Communicate regularly with clients to provide clear updates and manage expectations
• Liaise with engineers, suppliers, and internal teams to keep schedules on track
• Maintain accurate documentation, scheduling tools, and stock forecasting sheets
• Respond to client queries and resolve issues quickly, escalating where appropriate
• Review post-installation reports and ensure quality standards are being met
• Support smooth handovers from pilot phases to full-scale deployment
• Generate weekly reports for internal stakeholders and assist with project billing updates

What we're looking for:

• 2-3 years' experience in a project coordination, operations support, or similar customer-facing role
• Highly organised and confident managing competing priorities
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Good working knowledge of Excel for tracking schedules and reporting
• Calm under pressure, with a positive and proactive approach to solving problems
• Detail-oriented, with a strong sense of accountability and follow-through

Desirable:

• Experience in retail or hospitality technology deployments
• Knowledge of EPOS, kiosks, or basic IT hardware components
• Familiarity with project financial processes (e.g. purchase orders, invoicing)
• Background in a fast-paced or evolving tech business
• Intermediate Excel (VLOOKUPs, IF statements)
