Lead Project Coordinator - Digital Deployment
Our client, a specialist in digital deployment solutions for the retail and hospitality sector, is looking for a Lead / Senior Project Coordinator to join their fast-paced deployment team. Based in Altrincham with hybrid working available, this role offers a fantastic opportunity for someone who thrives on structure, customer delivery, and leading teams through high-volume project work.
This is a hands-on leadership position where you will be the key point of contact for both internal stakeholders and major UK clients, ensuring installation projects across Quick Service Restaurants (QSR) and retail sites run on time, on budget and to specification.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee day-to-day planning and execution of hardware deployments across multiple customer sites
- Lead and mentor a small team of project coordinators and field engineers
- Maintain trusted client relationships, acting as the primary escalation point
- Track deployment progress, report on KPIs and identify opportunities for process improvement
- Ensure customer expectations are met with excellent communication and problem-solving
- Manage installation schedules, resources, and stock forecasting
- Liaise across departments to support project delivery, reporting, and invoicing
- Support transition from pilot deployments to full rollout across client estates
- Review and manage installation sign-off processes to uphold quality standards
- Contribute to internal development and continuous improvement of deployment processes
What we're looking for:
- Proven experience coordinating complex projects with multiple moving parts
- Some experience managing small teams and handling performance conversations
- Exceptional organisational and multitasking abilities
- Strong communication skills - written, verbal, and customer-facing
- Ability to resolve conflicts and manage escalations with confidence and professionalism
- A positive, proactive mindset and natural drive to get things done
- Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (VLOOKUP, IF statements)
- Experience working in a client-facing or multi-stakeholder delivery role
Desirable:
- Experience working in fast-paced retail or technology deployment environments
- Familiarity with IT hardware, EPOS systems, or PC components
- Background in project coordination with finance or billing involvement
- Comfortable with performance reviews, 1-to-1s, and team coaching
