Overview
We are supporting the delivery of a Cyber Security Centre for Doctoral Training (CDT), an interdisciplinary PhD programme bringing together academia, industry, and public-sector partners.
We’re looking for an organised, proactive Centre Manager to run the programme’s day-to-day operations and ensure smooth coordination across stakeholders, systems, and reporting requirements.
This is a part-time, fixed-term role ideal for someone with strong programme or research operations experience.
Key Responsibilities
Programme & Office Management
- Act as the main point of contact for the Centre, including senior stakeholders, partners, and students
- Manage day-to-day operations and administrative processes
- Organise meetings, prepare agendas, take minutes, and follow up on actions
- Maintain accurate records, databases, and documentation
- Coordinate with academic and professional services teams to support the student experience
Reporting & Compliance
- Maintain data and reporting for funders and internal stakeholders
- Support reviews, audits, and external reporting requirements
- Ensure processes align with relevant policies and best practice
Financial Administration
- Monitor budgets and track expenditure
- Process invoices, expenses, and partner payments
- Support stipend and fee-related administration
Communications & Events
- Support marketing, communications, and website updates
- Assist with organising events such as open days, seminars, and partner meetings
Skills & Experience
Essential
- Experience in programme, research, or operations management
- Strong organisational and time-management skills
- Confidence working with multiple stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Comfortable managing budgets, data, and reporting
- Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
Desirable
- Experience in higher education, research, or funded programmes
- Familiarity with doctoral training or research environments
