Business Analyst - Financial Services - Leeds

Business Analyst required for a leading client based in Leeds. My client is currently seeking a Business to come on board to join the clients organisation and support a range of high-impact strategic and operational workstreams. These roles offer the opportunity to shape enterprise-wide change by combining strategic design, practical implementation, and hands-on delivery. You will help drive improved processes, data-driven decision-making, and more efficient programme outcomes across the business. Conduct comprehensive business analysis and requirements definition in complex, multi-stakeholder environments. Gather, document, and validate user needs for planning, governance, and operational tools. Lead discovery and analysis phases across enterprise, corporate planning, and programme level initiatives.
Key skills and responsibilities,
- Conducting in-depth analysis and redesign of business processes to improve efficiency, quality, and organisational alignment
- Employing structured methodologies such as Lean or Six Sigma.
- Recommending the rationalisation or decommissioning of legacy systems, reporting mechanisms, or processes as appropriate.
- Plan, organise, and monitor detailed activities and deliverables across workstreams.
- Assist with scope definition and prioritisation to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
- Identify, manage, and maintain Risks, Assumptions, Issues, and Dependencies (RAID).
- Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement sessions to capture insights and validate proposed solutions.
- Operate adaptively within evolving project and programme frameworks.
- Oversee the migration of legacy files into modern architectures, supporting broader data and digital migration strategies.
- Evaluate and contribute to the deployment of digital tools, including Power BI and M365.
- Standardise software delivery practices while assessing security controls throughout the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
- Generate high-quality documentation encompassing process maps, requirements artefacts, traceability matrices, management information (MI), RAID logs, and progress reports.
