IT Service Manager - Birmingham
Salary upto £55,500
3 days per week onsite in central Birmingham
My client seeks an IT Service Manager to oversee end-to-end IT service delivery and operations for business and IT customers. The role ensures services meet defined performance levels and manages ITIL service practices, application lifecycle management, and incident, problem, request, event, and change management. Responsibilities include maintaining SLAs and OLAs across the IT portfolio, monitoring supplier and internal team performance, and working with cross-functional teams to improve user experience, cost, and service outcomes.
Key skills and responsibilities,
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple IT services or platforms, overseeing both internal and external IT teams to ensure desired outcomes
- Proficient at juggling various priorities to deliver complex projects or services that meet stakeholder needs.
- Well-versed in digital information, digital contexts, and service design tailored to those contexts, as well as emerging technologies and their practical use.
- Knowledgeable about IT Service Frameworks, methodologies, and best practices.
- Responsible for meeting service level agreements (SLAs) and operational level agreements (OLAs) throughout the IT portfolio.
- Monitor and guide performance of key IT suppliers and delivery teams, ensuring services consistently align with contractual and operational standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional IT teams to enable seamless end-to-end service delivery, seeking improvements in user experience, cost-efficiency, and service quality.
- Provide robust reporting and management information to ensure transparency and adherence to service standards for assigned services.
- Maintain and enhance documentation, processes, and knowledge assets to support operational efficiency, resilience, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee and assure service delivery for platforms, products, and services through comprehensive ITIL service management practices.
- Ensure effective outcomes for application lifecycle management.
- Accountable for managing incident, problem, request, event, and change management across allocated services, ensuring all processes are executed effectively.
- Salary : £45K - £55K DOE
