Apprentice Industrial Computing & Electronics Technician (Trainee DCS Technician)

Role
- Supporting our team of engineers in maintaining, troubleshooting and supporting industrial computer systems
- Refurbishing and testing industrial control system parts and modules
- Assisting with system upgrades and software installations on control equipment
- Preparing and documenting maintenance reports carried out on equipment and systems
- Helping to diagnose faults using specialist test rigs and diagnostic tools
- Processing part orders and updating internal records
- Supporting our team on a day-to-day basis in the running of the business
- Attending customer sites alongside experienced engineers (some travel required)
- Participating in technical training sessions and shadowing senior team members
- Keeping the workshop organised and maintaining tools and equipment
- Assisting with stock control, booking in parts and managing inventory systems
Training
- Full Maintenance & Operations Engineering Technician Apprenticeship at Level 3
- 4 days working with employer, 1 day at college, our Luckyn Lane Campus in Basildon
- Full-time employment with the company on satisfactory completion of the apprenticeship
