My client is seeking a results-driven Senior Business Development Manager to drive revenue growth and expand market share in the education broadband sector. You will lead and mentor a team of up to 12 sales and support staff, balancing commercial objectives with the company’s mission to serve schools across the UK.
Key Responsibilities for the Senior Business Development Manager
- Develop and deliver strategic sales plans aligned with company goals.
- Drive new business opportunities and strengthen long-term client relationships.
- Lead, coach, and motivate a high-performing sales team.
- Oversee the full sales cycle, from lead generation to deal closure.
- Monitor performance, manage budgets, and report on KPIs.
- Stay ahead of industry trends, DfE requirements, and competitor activity.
About You
- Significant experience in senior business development/sales leadership, ideally in telecoms, broadband, or education/public sector.
- Proven record of exceeding revenue targets and managing successful teams.
- Strong strategic, negotiation, and consultative selling skills.
- Excellent communication, relationship-building, and leadership abilities.
- Skilled in CRM and data-driven sales management.
Desirable
- Experience in EdTech or education technology.
- MBA or advanced business qualification.
