Product Development Lead - Fixed Term (Maternity Cover) Central Edinburgh | Hybrid Working | Competitive Salary + Benefits
Denholm Associates are delighted to be partnering with our client, a pioneering organisation in the energy sector, to appoint a Product Development Lead on a 12-month fixed-term basis.
About the Company
Our client is at the forefront of the UK's energy transition. By unlocking the potential of flexible energy use, they help reduce reliance on traditional power generation, lower costs for customers, and support the shift towards a greener, more resilient future.
Operating at the intersection of technology, sustainability, and innovation, they work with a wide range of industries and energy users, delivering smarter solutions that balance demand with supply in real time. Their mission is clear: to accelerate the journey to net zero while creating tangible benefits for businesses, communities, and the energy system as a whole.
The Role
The Product Development Lead will play a pivotal role in bringing a newly launched product to life. This transformative solution enables customers to unlock value from their electricity usage while supporting the stability and sustainability of the national energy system.
This is an exciting opportunity to guide a breakthrough product through its immediate post-launch phase, working with an ambitious and highly motivated team. Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborating cross-functionally to ensure smooth growth, high-quality delivery, and customer satisfaction.
- Working closely with IT, Data, Commercial, Operations, Engineering, and Finance teams to develop scalable onboarding processes for diverse energy consumers.
- Overseeing the launch of new flexible energy loads - from EV chargepoint clusters to industrial cooling, HVAC, large-scale heat pumps, and battery storage.
- Managing delivery of complete metering and settlement solutions by liaising with device manufacturers, industry bodies, and test labs.
This role sits within the Strategy and Regulation team but will see you working right across the business.
