Accounts Assistant
A fast-growing, private equity-backed technology business is looking to add a sharp Accounts Assistant / Bookkeeper to its finance team. The business is scaling quickly, posting strong year-on-year growth, and needs someone who enjoys being hands-on and close to the numbers.Reporting into a high-supportive Financial Controller, and joining a team of 4, you’ll have visibility, responsibility, and the chance to grow with the business as it continues to scale.What you’ll be doing
- Raising sales orders and customer invoices
- Managing the sales ledger and credit control
- Processing purchase invoices, credit notes, and expenses
- Keeping supplier ledgers tidy and reconciling statements
- Posting bank transactions and completing monthly reconciliations
- Managing credit card receipts and reconciliations
- Supporting VAT returns
- Assisting with inventory and production-related finance processes
- Owning the finance inbox and keeping records clean and organised
- Experience as an Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeper
- Solid understanding of sales ledger, purchase ledger, and bank recs
- High attention to detail and strong organisation
- Confident with Excel
- Comfortable dealing with suppliers and internal teams
- Salary up to £32,000 depending on experience
- 37.5 hours per week
- 25 days holiday plus bank holidays

- Hybrid working - 3 days WFH, 2 in the office (possible for 4 days WFH, but 3 days preferred)
