Data Protection Specialist
The Data Protection Analyst (12-month fixed-term contract) will support the Data Protection Lead in ensuring E.ON Next complies with UK data protection laws, including UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. This role involves managing data subject requests, investigating data breaches, maintaining compliance records and supporting the implementation of data protection policies and procedures across the business.
Here's a taste of what you'll be doing:

Investigate and document data breaches and security incidents, escalating to the ICO as required.

Manage and respond to data subject rights requests (SARs, erasure, portability), coordinating across teams to ensure compliance.

Support the OSP team with tools and procedures for handling Subject Access Requests within regulatory timeframes.

Maintain logs of DSRs and third-party information requests, contributing to audits and reporting.

Assist in developing, reviewing, and implementing data protection policies, procedures and privacy notices.

Deliver data protection guidance, training, and awareness programs for employees.

Qualified Data Protection Practitioner or equivalent data protection qualification.

Collaborative mindset, able to work across teams to achieve shared goals.
It would be great if you had:

Experience working directly with regulatory bodies (e.g., ICO).

Knowledge of different data subject request types (electronic, paper, USB/CD).

Experience conducting compliance checks, audits, and reporting KPIs.

Ability to influence and drive change effectively within an organisation.
