Financial Controller
We’re delighted to be partnering again with a high-end technology and installation business in central London, supporting their search for a Financial Controller to take full ownership of the finance function and work closely with the Managing Director to strengthen financial control, cashflow management and commercial visibility.
This is a hands-on role leading a small finance team (Finance Assistant and Purchasing Manager) within a growing SME environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead all day-to-day finance operations including accounting, management reporting and controls.
- Maintain tight cashflow forecasting and daily oversight of payments and receipts, including weekly cashflow reviews with the MD.
- Produce accurate monthly management accounts and insightful commentary for leadership.
- Drive quarterly forecasting and lead annual financial planning.
- Work closely with project teams on costing, profitability and forecasting of ongoing installations.
- Review and improve financial systems and reporting processes to support efficiency and scalability.
- Manage statutory compliance, VAT, payroll and year-end accounts.
About You
- Qualified accountant (ACA / ACCA / CIMA).
- Background in construction, installation or other project-based sectors.
- Strong cashflow management skills and experience in project costing and forecasting.
- Commercial mindset with ability to communicate clearly with non-finance teams.
- Systems-savvy; confident reviewing and improving finance processes (Sage 50 experience preferred).
- Collaborative and pragmatic, comfortable in a dynamic SME environment.
