Oracle Report Analyst
Oracle Report Analyst required for an educational trust in Croydon
General hours: 8:30am - 5pm, Monday - Friday (the school offers 2 days work from home on a Tuesday & Thursday)
Job Purpose
The Reporting Analyst plays a pivotal role in supporting the Federation’s Oracle Fusion platform and wider data ecosystem.
They will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining a suite of high quality management and statutory reports across Finance, HCM, Payroll, and Procurement, enabling data-driven decision-making across Academies and Head Office.
The role will help strengthen the Federation’s reporting capability, ensuring that accurate, timely and trusted data flows across Oracle Fusion, BromCom, EPM, and other connected systems.
Main Areas of Responsibility
Reporting & Analytics
• Design, build, and maintain operational, statutory, and management reports using Oracle tools (OTBI, BI Publisher, Fusion Analytics Warehouse).
• Partner with functional leads (Finance, HR, Payroll, Procurement) to translate business requirements into well-structured, automated reporting solutions.
• Develop standardised reporting packs for Academies, Clusters, and Federation level performance reporting.
• Support EPM and BromCom integration reporting, ensuring alignment of staff, financial, and operational data across systems.
• Create and maintain a central reporting catalogue and data dictionary for reference and consistency.
Data Quality & Governance
• Validate and reconcile report outputs to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and completeness.
• Support data integrity checks across systems, contributing to a single source of truth for key people and finance data.
• Work with Data Governance leads to ensure reporting complies with data protection, audit, and safeguarding standards.
• Implement version control, documentation, and change management processes for all reports.
User Enablement & Support
• Provide technical guidance and support to users on running, interpreting, and troubleshooting Oracle Fusion reports.
• Deliver short training sessions and “how-to” materials to enable self-service reporting for functional teams and academies.
• Collaborate with the Learn Team to embed reporting and data literacy into wider staff development.
Continuous Improvement
• Identify opportunities to simplify and automate recurring reporting tasks.
• Work with the Data & Reporting Manager to prioritise enhancement requests based on impact and urgency.
• Participate in the design and testing of new data integrations and reporting functionalities during upgrades and releases.
• Support transition into BAU, ensuring documentation, ownership, and performance measures are embedded.
Education & Qualifications
Essential
• Degree or equivalent qualification in Data, Information Systems, Finance, or related discipline.
• Proficiency in Oracle Fusion reporting tools (OTBI, BI Publisher, FDI).
Desirable
• Oracle Fusion certification or equivalent reporting accreditation.
• Training in data analytics, data governance, or business intelligence tools (e.g. Power BI).
Knowledge Skills & Experience
Essential
• Strong understanding of Oracle Fusion data structures across HCM, Payroll, Finance, and Procurement.
• Advanced SQL and analytical skills for data validation and troubleshooting.
• Ability to design, build, and maintain management and statutory reports.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with ability to interpret complex data for non-technical users.
Desirable
• Knowledge of data integration and transformation processes between Fusion, EPM, and BromCom.
• Understanding of data governance, audit, and compliance frameworks.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Experience in ERP or Finance transformation environments.
