Role Summary
To lead strategic sourcing activity and manage key stakeholder and supplier relationships within category. This role is responsible for driving savings, value, innovation, and compliance while ensuring Procurement supports wider business objectives through proactive collaboration and effective supplier management.
Lead and develop a high performing team creating a culture of accountability, collaboration and continuous improvement.
Core Duties/Responsibilities
Category Management:

The development and execution of category and supplier strategies (short, medium, and long-term), aligned with business objectives, goals and targets.

Developing and maintaining a pipeline (including contract renewals and new initiatives) to forecast savings and increases for the category over a 12-24month period

Deliver cost savings, risk mitigation and value-add opportunities

Conduct spend analysis, market assessments and opportunity identification

Lead sourcing activity including tendering, negotiating and contracting

Work collaboratively and as one Team with Supplier Risk Management as part of the Supplier cycle i.e., comprehensive hand offs for key suppliers to ensure appropriate and effective governance.
Stakeholder Management:

Be the trusted Business Partner and advisor to key business areas and stakeholders

Facilitate collaboration between stakeholders and suppliers to meet business needs

Drive early engagement in projects to align commercial, operational and strategic objectives

Communicate procurement value through regular reporting and engagement
TPRM & SRM:
- Work with internal Supplier Risk Management Team to ensure supplier risks and compliance is managed within the TPRM Framework
- Set clear expectations and KPI's for strategic suppliers
- Monitor performance and drive continuous improvement with key suppliers
- Identify and implement supplier led innovation
Team Leadership:

Set clear objectives and provide coaching to support personal and professional growth

Allocate resources effectively across categories and relationship areas to meet team and business priorities within budget

Champion knowledge sharing, consistent practices and capability / development across the Procurement team
Governance & Process:

Ensure Procurement activities comply with internal policies and external regulations

Use Procurement Tools - LogicGate, Workday Finance, Workday Strategic Sourcing, Contracts Database to ensure transparency, compliance and approval workflows

Contribute to procurement continuous improvement, including tools, templates and digital transformation efforts
Skills, Capabilities and Attributes

Significant proven experience in a procurement Category Management role with a strong focus on the Technology Category

Deep and wide understanding of procurement processes and systems, with a record of successful operational implementation of strategic sourcing practices in complex organisations · Proven ability to translate business needs into relationship management strategies that deliver tangible operational and commercial benefits.

A track record of achieving targets and results · Strong contract drafting and contract management experience, including SLAs, KPIs, and supplier performance monitoring.

Experience in managing and developing a high performing team

Record of active participation in cross-functional procurement transformation programs

Extensive cross-sector industry experience, potentially including financial services background
